- Q: Why can’t I make a direct post to the news feed?
- A: Because this site is first and foremost a place for supporting groups and movement formation. It is not meant to be exactly like Facebook. What you want to share may be more useful in a group conversation page, or shared in the form of an Event or Resource. My News: Filtering the news feed to show you only things with your selected interest tags

- The group moderator is not approving my request — what can I do? A: send them an email – click the “Email Moderators” button – request that they respond to your request to join (make sure you include the name of the group you are referring to); explain why you want to be in the group

- What is the purpose of the group I want to create? Is there a need? Is there already a group on the CCJnet for this? (Search in the Group Directory to make sure)
- Group name and description – make it easy for people to know what your group is about and who it is for. Try to avoid acronyms and jargon.
- Group type – pick the one that best describes what you want to do; review definitions
- Choosing place-based or virtual group
- Limitations around choosing a City, State/Province, & Country for place-based group (i.e. not easy to indicate that it’s a regional/multi-state group — just have to be clear about this in the group description)
